UFC Fight Night 67: Jussier Formiga vs. Wilson Reis set for May 30 in Brazil

Top ranked flyweights will do battle under the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) banner on May 30th, 2015 live on FOX Sports 1 from the Goiania Arena in Goiania, Brazil as Jussier Formiga takes on fellow Brazilian Wilson Reis.

UFC has yet to officially announce the bout, but Brazilian outlet Combate let the cat out of the bag this weekend.

Formiga (17-3) is currently riding a two-fight winning streak after a rough start to his UFC career that saw the jiu-jitsu ace go 1-2 in his first three contests. The No. 5 ranked contender is looking to bounce back from an injury that forced him out of a scheduled bout against No. 4 ranked John Moraga last December.

As for Reis (19-5), the former Bellator mainstay has made quite the impact since making his UFC debut back in 2013, earning a 3-1 record and the No. 14 spot on the UFC rankings with impressive wins over Scott Jorgensen and Ivan Menjivar.

With UFC champ Demetrious Johnson taking on Kyoji Horiguchi at UFC 186 in April, a win for either Brazilian in Goiania could earn them a crack at “Mighty Mouse” next.

UFC Fight Night 67 is headlined by a welterweight bangfest featuring former interim UFC champ Carlos Condit, and former No. 1 contender Thiago Alves.
