Lightweight veteran Bobby Green will look to continue his 155-pound resurgence when he meets divisional contender Beneil Dariush at UFC 222 on Mar. 3 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada,
Dariush, 28, is coming off draw opposite UFC mainstay Evan Dunham. The Iranian lightweight dropped a knockout loss to Edson Barboza before that but still holds key victories over James Vick, Michael Johnson, and Rashid Magomedov. Dariush will be looking to capture his first win since November 2016.
Green, 31, is coming off an impressive unanimous decision win over Erik Koch at UFC on FOX 27. It was Green’s first victory since earning a split-decision nod over Josh Thomson back in 2014. Another victory for “King” over a durable opponent like Dariush could put him back on track to test the top 10 by year’s end.
UFC 222 will be headlined by a featherweight title fight pitting current champion Max Holloway against former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar.

It looks like the UFC 212 fight card just got a little deeper. According to a report by Combate, Erick Silva will meet fellow welterweight Yancy Medeiros on June 3 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) officials have yet to make the fight announcement.
Silva, 32, is one of the more exciting fighters to come out of Brazil in recent memory. With a slue of Fight of the Night and Performance of the Night bonuses under his belt, Silva is almost guaranteed to produce fireworks in his return to Rio. Silva defeated Luan Chagas via third-round submission in his last Octagon appearance at UFC Fight Night 95.
Medeiros, 29, will be making just his second appearance at 170 pounds assuming this bout with Silva officially makes the card. In his divisional debut, the Hawaiian submitted Sean Spencer in the second round to capture a Performance of the Night bonus. Medeiros has been one of the more underrated brawlers in UFC and may very well experience better results as a welterweight compared to his days at 155 pounds.
UFC 212 will be headlined by a featherweight title unification bout between current champion Jose Aldo and current interim king Max Holloway. The main card will also feature a middleweight showdown between the great Anderson Silva and the red hot Kelvin Gastelum.

Coming off of his memorable flying knee knockout finish of Brennan Ward back at Bellator 170, mixed martial arts (MMA) killer Paul Daley is now scheduled to take on undefeated welterweight sensation Michael Page at the SSE Arena in London. Daley, 33, is still one of the more relevant welterweights on the Bellator roster, despite compiling over 50 fights throughout his professional career. He’s arguably the most efficient head hunter in the promotion today and a guy that can not only finish an opponent by punches, but send them to the hospital with a flying knee.
Page, 29, is also known for his flying knee prowess, having reconstructed Evangelista Santos’ face back at Bellator 158. However, “Venom” narrowly defeated Fernando Gonzalez via split decision back at Bellator 165 in one of his most disappointing performances to date. If MVP wants to separate himself from the pack and lock down a title shot in 2017 he must get past the proven hands of “Semtex.”
As two of the better fighters in the division, Daley and Page should be able to hold down a main even spot. And considering they are both natives of England, the trash talking should be at an all-time high.
