Dana White Says Things Are Good With Khabib Now

At UFC 230, lightweight champ Khabib Nurmagomedov roughed up superstar Conor McGregor in the cage, then jumped out of the cage and into the audience to fight McGregor’s teammates.

It was… pretty ugly.

It’s expected that ol’ Khabib is going to face some form of punishment at the hands of the Nevada State Athletic Commission. In fact, the Commission held onto Nurmagomedov’s paycheck in anticipation of the fines he’ll be hit with.

The UFC, on the other hand, wasted no time dropping the hammer on Khabib’s teammates who participated in the extracurricular fracas. In particular, they pulled UFC Fight Night 138 headliner Zubaira Tukhugov from his fight, and replaced him with Michael Johnson.

This left Khabib pretty heated, and he threatened to quit the UFC.

But UFC boss Dana White says Khabib has calmed down, and everything is good now. As per TMZ Sports:

Dana White tells TMZ Sports … he and Khabib Nurmagomedov have worked out their issues and “The Eagle” will not be leaving the UFC.

“We’re good with Khabib,” Dana said … “He’s staying. This will all work out.”

“We worked it out. We’re gonna get everything worked out. Obviously, he was a little upset and a little fired up.”

He continued, “Listen, guys get very emotional man and that was a very emotional fight for him. At the end of the day, Khabib is a great guy and we’ve always had a great relationship with him.”

The other question … does this mean Khabib AND Zubaira will remain on the UFC roster?

“Well, [Khabib’s] staying in the UFC,” Dana said … telling us he’s not 100% sure about Zubaira’s future.

He did assure us that Khabib is happy and “this will all work out.”

Of course everything is good now. The UFC’s pay-per-view stars are dwindling big time, so they need Khabib.

Coker Shortchanges 50 Cent Over ‘Garbage’ Offer For Khabib

If he can’t do it; homie, it can’t be done.

Bellator MMA President Scott Coker has no problem scooping up disgruntled UFC fighters, already collecting the likes of Gegard Mousasi and Ryan Bader, among others, but it appears the former Strikeforce head cheese is not in the “Eagle” business.

Sorry, Fitty.

After Khabib Nurmagomedov threatened to quit the promotion (over this), rapper and newly-christened Bellator broski 50 Cent offered $ 2 million to have the UFC lightweight champion abandon ship and join the rank-and-file over at Viacom.

“He called me yesterday and he said, ‘Hey, what’s going on with this?’” Coker said at the Bellator 208 press conference (via MMA Junkie). “I said, ‘Well, the commission’s involved. There’s a lot of steps to that whole situation.’ I told him, ‘Hey, let’s just stay clear of it because that has nothing to do with Bellator, it has to do with the commission and the fighter and the league.’ So that’s their business.”

Not that it would have made a difference.

That’s because Nurmagomedov’s manager, Ali Abedaziz, told TMZ that he’s not going to entertain a “garbage” offer for $ 2 million — the amount being held by Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) for his UFC 229 post-fight brawl — because “The Eagle” is worth 25-times that amount.

“For $ 2 million, [that won’t even] open a Coca-Cola bottle for Khabib,” Abdelaziz said. “Khabib makes a lot of money. If we talk about $ 50 million and up, we can talk. But $ 2 million? This is garbage.”

If Nurmagomedov is going to make that kind of coin, then he better hope Floyd Mayweather was serious when he said this. If not, it make take that Conor McGregor match at Cowboys Stadium to get into double digits.

Khabib Nurmagomedov Is Threatening To Leave UFC If They Punish His Team

By now everyone on the planet has seen the clips: After tapping out Conor McGregor at UFC 229, champ Khabib Nurmagomedov vaults the cage and jumps into the audience to scrap. And while Khabib is throwing down, his teammates leap into the cage to throw knuckles at McGregor.

It goes without saying that there are some parties that deserve punishment for their actions. No doubt the Nevada State Athletic Commission is going to drop the hammer – they’re still holding on to Khabib’s paycheck.

But the UFC is punishing Zubaira Tukhugov, who punched Conor and was supposed to face Artem Lobov at the next UFC Fight Night.

Khabib is having none of that. The Dagestani champ says that if the UFC punishes his teammates for the fracas, then he’s quitting the organization.

Yikes!

I would like to address @ufc Why didn’t you fire anyone when their team attacked the bus and injured a couple of people? They could have killed someone there, why no one says anything about insulting my homeland, religion, nation, family? Why do you have to punish my team, when both teams fought. If you say that I started it, then I do not agree, I finished what he had started. In any case, punish me, @zubairatukhugov has nothing to do with that. If you think that I’ll keep silent then you are mistaken. You canceled Zubaira’s fight and you want to dismiss him just because he hit Conor. But don’t forget that it was Conor who had hit my another Brother FIRST, just check the video. if you decide to fire him, you should know that you’ll lose me too. We never give up on our brothers in Russia and I will go to the end for my Brother. If you still decide to fire him, don’t forget to send me my broken contract, otherwise I’ll break it myself. And one more thing, you can keep my money that you are withholding. You are pretty busy with that, I hope it won’t get stuck in your throat. We have defended our honor and this is the most important thing. We intend to go to the end. #Brothers
